Compass Map Reading
Movie Night with Popcorn and all the trimmings
More to come – just keep watching this space as more Groups come forward with new ideas.
Camp will be open Friday night the 21st of May, however you will need to provide your own evening sustenance. If you do stay Friday night and require breakfast, we will provide cereal and toast. There will be a never ending coffee and tea supply.
The actual Camp Activities are due to start at 0900 Saturday and conclude at 1400 on Sunday the 23rd. The kitchen will provide meals for Saturday Lunch through to and including Sunday Lunch. We can only cater for those special needs if they are listed on the following application form.
As per the last Spirit of the North West Camp, we will be having the Hunter & Coastal Climbing Wall which was a huge success, and for the first time in two years we have been informed there is a very high probability that the Flying Fox will also be operating across the Moore Creek.
Over the next week or two we will start adding the events that the Groups and members of the Region Team will be running and they will appear here. It will be a very full weekend for all.
On the Sunday, the North West Region will be welcoming our Chief Commissioner Neville Tomkins to the camp and will address the Region at the ARP which is scheduled for a 1000 arrival with a 1030 start. Neville will bring with him the NSW Crown Lands Commissioner, Professor Richard Bush. As most of you will know, many of our Scout and Guide Halls are located on Crown Lands and over the past few months over $200,000 has been spent on halls within the North West Region using funds granted by Crown Lands and administered by this Region.
